Today we are officially announcing the start of the “Mizuno/MyGolfSpy – Ultimate Masters Contest!” The winner of this contest is going to get some serious Mizuno schwag…$1,100 bucks worth to be exact! Here was the premise for the contest. A couple days ago we noticed that Mizuno had just signed up for Twitter and Facebook…better late then never. So we told them, “Why don’t you let the MyGolfSpy readers help you grow your following? I’ve tried all of the new irons and decided on Mizuno JPX-800 Pro irons for MY bag. They are the best feeling irons I’ve tried, forged or not. Very forgiving and I love the smaller head size. Keep up the quality products Mizuno. I love my Mizuno irons!

I fell in love with the Mizuno MP13’s back in the early 1990’s. Those were probably the sexiest looking blades I had ever seen. Unfortunately, they never made those irons available to us left handers, so I never even had the opportunity to play the MP 13’s. Mizuno has some really great irons in the MP62’s and I would love to have the chance to play some of their irons.

I first hit a Mizuno iron 7 years ago and loved it so much that I bought my first set of MP-32’s that same year. I still have that set and play them regularly. If anything, they are the purist forged iron you will ever hit!

My first set of clubs once I got serious about golf was a set of T-zoid Pro IIs. Many years and many sets later they are the one set I can’t let go of. I keep them in the backup bag and pull them out at least a couple times a year. There simply is no denying that a well struck Mizuno provides feedback that no other club I’ve ever hit can match.

Am presently looking to upgrade my clubs. Have been working with fitting experts and Mizuno is the clear leader in matching my swing patterns for constant repeatable ball contact. Mizuno club, especially irons, give the best feel and distance off the club face. You know the #1 iron player uses mizuno which shows it’s the best of the best. I would know caues I use MX-200 mizuno irons.

I have been playing golf for about 2.5 years and in that time I have jumped deep into the golfing world: read the books, get the magazines, play all the time, and watch it on tv. I have also become quite familiar with the equipment and I have read nothing but good things about the Mizuno line. I have also heard from others that play Mizuno irons how much they like their clubs and swear by them. If the budget was avaliable, Mizuno irons would definitely be in my bag. So, while I haven’t actually played the irons yet, which makes it hard for me to actually say I like the irons(I do like how they look though), I would definitey like the opportunity to like them, just as those that own them already do!!

I have been hooked since I borrowed my instructors Mizuno 3 wood for a tournament. He didn’t like the R7 I was using and lent me his. Wouldn’t you know I placed 4th. He has since fitted me for a new three wood and I can’t wait to get it next week. I have gone to demo days for Mizuno as well, and have decided my next set of irons (in the next year) will be Mizuno. The feel, the flexibility and just the quality is by far the best I have hit. That’s why I’m a fan.

I used to have a Japanese girlfriend in high-school and her mom would game a set of Mizuno. This was around 1999, at that time I had no idea about golf, had never taken a swing and to me Mizuno making golf clubs was… a crazy idea?! They should stick to what they do better: sport shoes and apparel!

Boy was I wrong! I started playing golf in 2010 and by chance saw her mom on the golf course one day during my summer vacation. She was gaming new Mizuno irons! After reading so many reviews, golf forums, etc… all I ever hear from Mizuno is “they are the best forged irons out there”.

So I obviously had to give them a try. So I borrowed her set (men’s standard length, steel regular shaft) and went to the range. Such a smooth feeling, soft like a baby’s ass!

I know most people say you can’t tell the difference between cast and forged, but to me it was a difference in feel and sound. It could be psychological, but it gave me confidence and that’s what golf is all about!

Once I can afford a set of non-clones, I’ll go for a Mizuno!

When I see someone playing Mizuno equipment I see someone who takes their game seriously. Mizuno has to be the single most underrated brand in the game. Not often that a brand is underrated and widely respected at the same time. My sons are getting a little older and starting to enjoy the game. I have a strong feeling that my game is going to improve to Mizuno equipment level. Its excting to be headed in the right direction.

Why do I like Mizuno Golf? Mizuno has a slogan of “Never Settle.” I think this is evident in their products for golf. It seems like every time they come out with a new product that is amazing, they don’t settle for that and come out with something even better. One big reason I like them is because of the new wedges I just demoed yesterday. Mizuno, in my opinion, now has the best wedges on the market.

Wow… this is awesome… About 3 years ago I started golfing with a cheap set of clubs I bought from a big box store… I paid $200 for a set that included everything. After a year, I realized that my clubs were holding me back, so I went out and bought a set of MX950’s. My game improved instantly. Since Then I have been a Mizuno fan and follower. Mizuno is one of the few companies that has maintained creditability without selling out to become a giant. Consistently good clubs that look like golf clubs should look. Because of that I look at them with more respect than I do Callaway, Taylor Made or Nike. I’m a marketing guy, so it pains me to say that it is very possible to over market your brand. It’s easy to loose the image that Mizuno has found a way to keep.

I go into a golf store and look for their product and I must say if it performs as good as it looks, it will be or is a winner in my books. As someone who works in the golf business, Mizuno is one of the good companies to work with. The custom club department at the factory is second to none. The clubs that come out of there are always very VERY close to the customers desired spec. That is not always the case from other vendors…

I originally played Mizuno’s only because me father and brother lived by them. I wasn’t a golf freak until about 7 years ago, so i always played with there old sets. I thought they liked Mizuno’s just because it was what they grew up playing with… I was wrong. Since I started taking the game seriously, I have been through multiple types and brands of clubs. Nothing compared in feel or control to the Mizuno T-Zoids I played. I finally went back to Mizuno, with a set of MP-68’s. I have now worked my Handicap down to a 9.3, and it only getting lower!

I had Mizuno MX-23’s for about 5 yrs and just loved the quality. Kinda wished I hadn’t traded them in. But overall, Mizuno has been a strong brand for years. Solid Irons with a great feel to them. The new JPX800 irons are a great continuation of that quality Mizuno has been know for. I’m excited to be the one who is going to win them (PLEASE AND THANK YOU! lol)

Why I like Zuno’s, that’s easy… They’re the best ! I play the 950’s, believe it or not, I learned on the MP33’s, and that was just a few years ago, and I was in my 50’s. Who knew those clubs weren”t for beginners?, not me.

bought my first set of Mizuno’s this year (JPX 800 pro)and loving them. Effortless to swing and deadly accurate, already shaved several strokes off my handicapp and looking for single digits this summer…

I still love my old T-Zoid Pro II’s and I have owned 14’s, 29’s, 57’s, 62’s, 67’s and 68’s. Everything they make is excellent.

Mizuno is great because it is simple. As a player and a club fitter I am always relieved to work with Mizuno because the equipment’s purpose is clearly defined. The technology is always current and quality and luxury remain the top priorities. Mizuno does what has seemed nearly impossible in the equipment industry: remain traditional and competitive for all skill levels.
