First Look! – TRUE Linkswear 2014 Lineup

We know lots of you are fans of TRUE Linkswear. It’s almost insane to think that 2014 will bring the fourth generation for the minimalist golf shoe that took the world by storm (relatively speaking of course). 4 years…already.

We don’t have much in the way of info yet, but we do have some pics of Ryan Moore wearing the new shoes at The Barclays at Liberty National.

What do you think? Do these look like something you’ll be adding to your shoe rack in 2014?  And if so, which one do you like best.

I like the ‘Cole Haan’ inspired design.

      Nice.

Yes looks like his “inspiration” is a cole haan store. But love them anyway. I actually love my cole haans like the grey and yellow in his line. Nike lunar bottoms are so comfortable. Hope these are more comfortable than the first generation. Havent bought any Links shoes since the first because of zero heel support.

On my third pair of Trues — gave my older PHX’s to my kid. Love mine and seriously digging the looks of these. Have never had a problem with traction, even in wet conditions – can’t see myself ever going back to a spiked shoe..

They look slick. Always nice to have the option to wear golf kicks to the office.

They look sweet. I’ve been dreaming of all-grey upper shoes and these fit the bill…except, what’s with the yellow sole?? Grey upper+white sole = 5 pairs for me right now! TRUE fam, pretty please?

Dunn, that is the fashion right now. It is another way to add color to an outfit.

Yeah, I guess. But grey and…yellow? I must be really behind on these fashion thingys… Disliked it on this years phx, not really a fan of this combo either.

Oh man these look good. Sad thing is that I still haven’t grabbed the 2013’s yet. 2012 True Tours still going strong.

I’m interested in the black version. Definitely worth a look. White with a black sole would be very interesting. …but I hate flat soled shoes. Give me high arched mushy-ness!

“Taken the world by storm” :) If the world is restricted to the USA – yes. I’ve seen one – 1 – player in Trues over here. I know of two others who use them. And I meet a lot of golfers. Euro distributor is………….I’m lost for words.

But the new models. Yes. I love them :) The grey is ECCO Tour hybrid meets Cole Haan Nike Lunargrand. They are stunning. Perfect. Perfect. Perfect!

I’ve got 14 pairs of golf shoes. No Trues. If there was someone actually selling them or the shipping cost from the US wasn’t the same as the cost of the shoes I’d have 14 pairs of Trues too.

Hey Christian, I’m from Europe too. I’ve been ordering them straight from truelinkswear.com and have shipped them through PayPal’s HopShopGo.com. No problems and they’ve arrived fast, though you have to ofc pick up the customs charges. Around $40-50 to ship ’em. 5 pairs of TRUEs so far.

Might wanna shoot an email to [email protected] (in England), they distributed TRUEs at least in 2011 when I asked for a European contact from TRUE. Looks like they have 2011 & 2012 models on their website currently.

Norway is outside the EU. More expensive shipping. $40-50 quickly turns into $80.

Yes, Golfs Finest distributes True in Europe. Or – they can distribute True if they want to.

Just get a US address from PayPal’s HopShopGo and ship them to Europe with that service.

I am on my second pair of TRUE linkswear. I had an original pair and wore them out; very comfortable. Last year, I bought the sensei model, and the sole design seems more durable. I have never had a problem with traction. For new wearers, you will probably feel a little stress in your Achilles tendon until it gets stretched out. That’s from your heel being more on the ground than a regular shoe. If you like to walk the course, these shoes are among the lightest and most comfortable. From the pics it looks like they are introducing a more classic look in tan or gray. I like it. May have to get another pair.

They look legit. I own 4 pairs and will have to buy another come 2014. I’ve only had the courage to wear the Sensei out in public/off the course since the wide toe box gets a lot of ‘clown shoe’ comments. Hopefully that will change with next years designs of a suede wingtip and more sporty proto.

Kudos to True for being innovative.

Looks like they are going to have a more traditional or dressy model? And of course modern options as well.

They all look good, but it looks like the traction is WAY less then previous models. What’s up with that? Maybe it’s just the pictures?

With a barefoot/wide platform your weight is distributed more evenly; so you don’t need long, obtrusive spikes to achieve great traction. A more stable and grounded platform creates better balance – which in turn leads to solid traction (and better swings…:)).

Hey, I totally agree with what you’re saying.

I was just saying that the traction looks less aggressive than on their previous models. I wear the True Protos now, they are awesome.

Looks like the soles are a little bit thicker on the wingtips in the pictures. Regardless they look awesome.

I agree…the Proto/Sensei sole is superior to all other platforms…I would hope the new look TRUE’s with a new sole design perform the same or better! If so, I will also buy a new pair as I like the change an look of the classic design. Would still like to see a classic black an white look.
I currently own 6 pair so I am speaking from experience!
