Custom or not PING deserves every golfers money. They GIVE a free set of new clubs to wounded vets coming out of rehab hospitals. Better than Nike who gives back WHAT??? As long as I am a buyer PING will be my choice for life.

You want to know how to make some money in the golf industry? Come up with a very low cost fitting program. If TM or Titleist or Ping, etc. came out w/ a program where they would do a full fitting session, which would cost nothing if you ended up purchasing the club they fit you with, I think they would see a spike in purchases. Maybe they’ve thought about this and have determined the logistics are too difficult or that they really don’t need to do this to make money (people will buy off the rack anyway), but I know that for me personally, I’d be willing to switch brands if they were willing to fit me for their products. It would be worth a lot to me. If I do the fitting and still don’t want the product they fit me for, make it cost something reasonable, like $50.

If you go to Tempe, AZ PING offers free walk-in indoor fittings in their Fitting Department Monday through Friday between 7:30am and 4:30pm MST. You get your specs, then purchase at any authorized Ping dealer. Maybe a golf vacation to Phoenix?

No. Not a lot happening at Scotty’s. Had the new putters there but not a lot more except for a nice head cover display. Pretty dissapointing
