FIRST LOOK – Adams a12 Pro Irons
Remember the spy pics we showed you of the sets of irons Chad Campbell helped design for Adams Golf last year…they were called the Adams CC1. They got quite a bit of buzz about them on many of the golf forums. Well it looks like Adams Golf has decided to add them to their line-up in 2011. Word is they will be released April 15th and they will have a few changes compared to the original CC1 prototypes.
For starters these new Adams A12 Pro irons will have a thinner top line, a wider sole and from what we hear a more durable black finish then previous models. The original CC1 prototypes designed by Chad Campbell had a thicker top line and those that tested them said they were a little on the chunky side in regards to looks and overall weight as well. These are said to have been improved in both areas. Not a big fan of the yellow paintfill…but who knows if that will be part of the official release. Adams is known to do some last minute color changes when they go to production.
More New Models And Prototypes…Coming Soon
From what I hear they also have a few other exciting new prototypes they are testing as well (wedges, hybrids, and a top-secret other weapon). Hope to have more info and images of those for you next week. They also have a new A12 hybrid they are coming out with (pictured above). And a new twist in the new hybrid design as well. With the new design the higher the loft the smaller the head will be. Basically it sounds like there will be 3 entirely different shapes within the set of A12 hybrids.

not too picky about the hybrids, but I like the look of the irons… It would be nice to see the top line and the sole. The top line is important to a lot of players in how it looks from above. Sometimes it’s just the little things that set an iron apart from its competition.
