Callaway X-22 Irons - Spy Pic?

Is This the Callaway X-22 for 2009?
I had been hearing some rumblings lately about The New Callaway X-22 iron that will be probably be released in 2009. So…I put the word out to my guys a few weeks ago to keep an eye out for any drawings or molds laying around. And today I came to work and opened my email to the subject “You might think this is interesting”. He also said, “Please dont release my name or info…but I know you won’t.” He was right, I found it very interesting and he also knows I would never give up my contacts.
We Will Have To Wait And See
My source said this IS going to be the next Callaway iron that is released in 2009 and will be named the Callaway X-22. Probably a little soon to tell, so if I hear anything new I will update the post. Check’em out!

It looks like they are going to stray very far away from the last few years designs. THis is my first time to this site but I love it keep up the great work!

Another reference to the X-22 is found on, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAeKpPnWVy4&feature=user (Fairway Steve episode) with a callaway club maker saying that the X-22 is made in a different way to the x-20 (non-bore i think):

The Reference you thinking of in the youtube video was to the x-20 tour and x-forged….not x-22 sry

The X-22 looks very much like the design of a jap iron, the Epon 701’s.

I have a set of x-22s. Got them at a charity golf event. Came home, googled them, and found all these websites that say they’re not available. So how did this end up at the charity tournament? Also, via the web, saw that lots of sets of x22’s seem to be available from abroad and for a lot less than what I paid for them at the silent auction.

Well if they say X-22 on them then you got a fake. They have not been released yet. Do you have a picture and I can see what they are and where they came from.

i was just about to buy this set for a 1000 dollars in denmark, some guy is selling it, dos not sound like he knows much about golf.. does this means that his golfset is fake?

when is callaway going to replace their players irons, the x forged, with a new version of that?

I think it looks strange, but I always think that about new clubs. From the newer released clubs– Titleist AP, Mizuno 53, Pings, and the X22– manufacturers are putting more weighting on the bottoms. More help for us so its great. The X22 looks like a mixture of the X18 and X20. I a photo of the X22 to your email.

It still amazes me how little they change this club from year to year and still stay current looking. Very similar to a car manufacturer for example BMW…changes minor things but keeps selling new cars.
