Golf Apparel Review! – Kikkor Dress Sneaker

The Peanut Gallery offered a variety of opinions on the Kikkor Dress Sneaker. As expected, those who like a very traditional shoe said that this was not their cup of tea, but those who like a less traditional shoe said that the Kikkor was among the best they’ve seen.

Golf Apparel Review! – Travis Mathew Clothing

In the spirit of MyGolfSpy, I call it like I see it: good, bad, or ugly. With that said, I truly don’t have a single bad thing to say about Travis Mathew clothing. For me, it hits all the marks: athletic cut, ease of movement, and a classic-but-youthful style.

Review – adidas adizero Golf Shoe

“I hate adidas golf shoes” – me, 2 years ago.

I had tried on a few pair. I was even stupid enough to convince myself that a pair I liked (except for the part where they made my feet hurt) would be fine once I got them on the course (they weren’t). With a broad selection of good-looking, non-blistering shoes available from other brands, I was finished with adidas. I swore at them, then I swore them off, and then I was done.

Fast-forward to January of this year and the FedEx guy is dropping off another box (a very huge box) of adidas shoes. The new adizero golf shoe shipped suspended in what I still say is a promotional fish tank, designed to convey the message that the adizero is so close to weightless it basically floats. At least that’s what I got out of it anyway. [READ MORE]

GOLF APPAREL REVIEW! – TRUE linkswear TRUE tour

Are the TRUE tours “ridiculously comfortable”? I would probably say that they are “amazingly comfortable”. People who wear TRUE shoes typically become TRUE loyalists, where the initial pair of shoes rapidly becomes multiple pairs. When I first wore the TRUE tours to the range, the guy in the stall next to me noticed my shoes and asked if it was my first pair. He was wearing a pair of tours from last year and he told me that he owned six pairs of TRUES and was planning on buying some of the 2012 models. The TRUE lovers are loyal, and vocal. Based upon my experiences with the TRUE tours, I foresee the ranks of TRUE lovers growing in 2012. {READ REVIEW!}

GOLF APPAREL REVIEW! – TRUE Linkswear Golf Shoes

As I said at the onset of this review, when it comes to golf shoes, only two things really matter; comfort and performance. It is quite simply impossible for me to imagine a shoe more comfortable than the TRUE Linkswear Tour. {READ THE REVIEW!}

Golf Apparel Review! – Under Armour Golf Apparel

In sum, Under Armour has made a very strong entry into the golf apparel market place. The quality and performance of the clothing lives up to the reputation that they built with their compression gear. While the style is neither a huge plus or minus for me, I think that given the price, Under Armour represents a very solid value and is definitely something that should be given consideration when you’re shopping for golf clothes.

Golf Apparel Review! – Kentwool Socks

Kentwool has a fantastic product with their golf sock. As you can see, not a single point was deducted for style, comfort, or performance. The big hurdle is the $20 price tag. If the price doesn’t bother you, I would recommend buying a case of these socks; I’ve never worn a better pair.

GOLF APPAREL REVIEW! – Oakley Cipher Shoe

“What’s up with those shoes?” Those shoes, the Oakley Cipher, have a lot going on, actually, but the thing that everyone notices are the Nano Spikes. If you were at the Demo Day for the PGA Merchandise Show this January, there’s no chance that you missed the dozens of pairs of red shoes from Oakley. The red proved to be a clever marketing move. While more and more companies are going “spike-less,” Oakley has engineered a totally new sole that reduces weight and promises as much traction as traditional cleats. Golfspy Dave and I both put the Ciphers to the test to let you know whether these shoes deliver or if Nano Spikes are headed for the dust bin of failed ideas. Read on, spies… {READ REVIEW!}

GOLF APPAREL REVIEW! – Vivo Barefoot Hybrid Golf Shoe

The Vivo Barefoot Hybrid is the second product this year that, in my opinion, outperforms its overall score. Over the last few years, golf has gotten on board with the trend of more minimalistic footwear. However, up until now, we’ve been given barefoot shoes made by golf shoe companies. The shoe that I’ll be reviewing today, the Hybrid by Vivo Barefoot, is a golf shoe made by a barefoot shoe company. So is the Hybrid the best kept secret in golf footwear, or just another shoe? Read on to find out, fellow spies… {Read Review}

Golf Apparel Review! – Sub70 Apparel (Spring/Summer 2012)

Whether you’re “mad for plaid“, looking to bring some Euro-style to your American closet, or just want some insanely comfortable pants (plaid or otherwise) that make a statement bolder than going topless in church, we (well…at least two of us anyway) think you need to check out Sub70′s Spring/Summer Lineup (starring the Issac Pant). Did I mention the plaid? {READ REVIEW!}

GOLF APPAREL REVIEW! – Hollas 2011 Fall Apparel

Many of you hosers out there are getting serious about your golf wardrobe. Wasn’t too long ago a cotton polo and a pair of khakis got the job done. For many of us, those days are over. If you’re like me, you dress better for the golf course than you do for the office. If you’re like me, cotton might as well be a 4 letter word. And if you’re like me you’ve come rely on trendy apparel to make an impression on the golf course on those days when your game doesn’t. When it come to golf apparel, you’ve got a lot of choices, but if you’re at all like me, it’s long past time you took a closer look at Canadian apparel company, Hollas. {Read More…}

GOLF APPAREL REVIEW! – 59 Belts & Buckles

“59Belts.com was one of the pioneers of this recent “golf buckle” trend you see exploding on tour. They were really the first to get their buckle on so many pro’s belts. And I think the 59 Buckles are not only one of the pioneers but I also think they are the leader in the market.” (GolfSpy X)
