Another first for the MyGolfSpy readers.  You are getting the exclusive first look at this new driver.  But not much new there…we always try to give you fellow spies the first pics of all the new gear.

There have been all kinds of rumors about a new Ghost driver coming out in 2011.  But those rumors have all been about the new Taylormade R11 or what they are calling “Driver A” & “Driver B” from what we have heard right now.  So when I got these pics I was quite honestly shocked and I admit quite impressed.  We were already impressed with the original Cobra ZL Driver that we reviewed back in October 2009.  But I loved the fact that they went ALL WHITE with this one…not just the head like all the other ghosted clubs…it classes this thing up quite nice.  So much so that Ian Poulter decided to put one in play today at the HSBC tourney.  He wore an all-black outfit with the all-white driver…nice touch Ian ;)

Only 500 Are Available

Like we said these are limited edition models…they only produced 500 for worldwide production.  And each will be marked with a production serial number.

• THE SHAFT – And the shaft is quite and upgrade…it’s a custom all-white, 46” Fujikura Motore Speeder VC 6.0 shaft is an upgrade that has an MSRP of $399 just by itself!  It also features so exclusive laser etched graphics.
• THE GRIP – All-White white grip is a Golf Pride Tour Wrap 2G model. It’s a one-piece, simulated wrap with enhanced tackiness. Incredibly soft, it combines the look and feel of premium leather with the durability and performance of high-tack rubber.
• AVAILABILITY – The Cobra Limited Edition ZL Driver (MSRP $625) is available in lofts of 9.5° and 10.5°, in men’s right-handed with Fujikura Motore Speeder VC 6.0 stiff flex shaft. It will be available Dec. 15, but can be pre-ordered through participating retailers starting Nov. 15. Participating retailers will be listed at www.cobragolf.com.
