First Look: Adams Golf blue Driver

Fresh from the USGA’s conforming clubs list, here’s your first look at the upcoming blue driver from Adams Golf.

When the time comes for Adams to start talk about blue, I think you’re going to find the brand messaging very different that what you’re accustomed to.

Frankly, I can’t wait to see what you think of where the company is headed. In the meantime, let us know your thoughts on what you see here.

why bust on this club until the experts take a look. As far as no adjustments….that’s a positive for me!

Man…. would TMag just get it over with and kill the Adams Brand, there is no sense in dragging it out more. This driver looks like a Big 5 Sporting Goods cheap driver. Nothing impressive at all about it.

Looks interesting – would have liked to have seen the top and face so will withhold major comment until I’ve had a swing with one. Adams have had some pretty darn good clubs over the years……. hope Taylor Made have not messed with their integrity as club makers!!!!

Looks like something that I could build myself from components which I do on a regular basis.Strange thing is though these perform pretty darn well.Maybe it’s a world beater and worth a hit.

hmmm kinda looks like they just took their poor selling JetSpeed technology and made some cosmetic changes…

I’m not sure why Taylormade is making an Adams driver. Even if it is going to be an inexpensive alternative, wouldn’t people rather buy an older, higher quality driver for the same price? The driver is non adjustable, and the only technology appears to be the slot and whatever that “D” weight is, if that is anything anyways.

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

The weight at the back looks interesting. I agree with Christian I think TM bought Adams to be it’s budget brand and just faze it out on day. I liked Adams clubs but once they were bought out I stopped looking at them.

Adams is now just the budget division of TaylorMade. It’ll just be the Red and Blue series this year. Most likely no new XTD or Tight Lies

This is finished product. The worst part is its a .320 tip diameter proprietary to ONLY TMAG. Any custom shafts you’re out of luck. Any re shafts have to go back to TMAG. No adjustability, what a joke. The Red hybrid will be the only legit Adams club that will be out. Everything else is just going to be as relevant as Cleveland is with woods…

This does not look like a 2015 big-name OEM release. I hope that is not the final product.

I’m not convinced it’s not adjustable … Maybe some access thru that large slot in the bottom for some sort of wrench ? Would like to see the face and topline to get a better idea of what this driver is about …

      Not adjustable?
It’s got $179.99 written all over it.

Curious, there are no top views. Is that because it is as ugly as the XTD to look at?

Interesting. I imagine the ‘D’ is some kind of weight? It’s minimalist in it’s look. I’d give it a hit.
