BIG MIZUNO FANS
We’re big fans of Mizuno Golf at MyGolfSpy, especially the concepts and styling they have developed over the years. So we were very pleased by the reports that Mizuno is preparing to unveil 4 new sets of irons either later this year or early in 2009. A couple of the nameplates on the new irons are rumored to be called the Mizuno MP-52 and Mizuno MP-62 irons. Expect both the MP-52 and MP-62 to hit the stores around September.
WHAT TO EXPECT
4 New Models (2 Mizuno MX Models & 2 Mizuno MP Models)
– (2) Mizuno MX Models (replacing the Mizuno MX-19 & Mizuno MX-25)
– (2) Mizuno MP Irons (replacing the Mizuno MP-32 & Mizuno MP-60)

Dear My golf Spy,
I am trying to decide between purchasing mp-52 or titleist ap2
I have been a long time titleist fan but I recently hit a set of the mp-52’s at a demo day
Also what are your thoughts on the company fst golf? I am thinking about putting a set of kbs tour shafts into either set I buy
I currently just sold my x-20 tour w/ project x 6.0’s
I’m glad I read about the nike vr line I was going to purchase because they looked great, once I hit them…….I found out otherwise…no feel at all
Also R9 or STr8 fit??
thanks for your advice in advance

AP’s are shovels- no differnet than x-20’s-
look at Titelist new cb’s- or 52’s
New Nikes Vr are a different iron than the older 2004 and prior blades, cheap steel-
Mp 62 are the leading Mp iron- on tour and otherwise- and the Cally proto- the best!
Find a Mp 14 or 29 and work your way up from there- the best irons ever forged!
r7 425 and TM sq is as good and probably better than the r9, plus the ability to adjust your driver SW will always be a plus- at half the price-
Goosen still plays 425- focus on your shaft- dozens of old great shafts at nickels on the dollar out there- Vista Pro, Mits, V2, Pro lite, Blue etc… the hottest now are the Tour AD, White, Fubuki, and Blue-
6.0’s and DG’s and KBS are all the same steel – great shafts just find the right Swingweight and grips- that is one thing most pro’s will agree on- the difference is imperceptible- the key is the type of courses- and your tempo-
hope this helps- and yes I am an expert with references-
