#myEdel – Your 2nd Design Decision

#MyEdel

Several weeks ago we launched a first of its kind; a crowdsourced putter initiative. The end result will be a putter designed by you, built and finished by some of the finest craftsmen in the game.

MyGolfSpy has partnered with Edel Golf to offer you this opportunity to be a part of something truly unique. Today we take the next step in building something you’ll be proud to say that you helped create.

It’s called the #MyEdel putter.

The Next Step

Today’s decision is the next step in our #MyEdel design journey. Since this putter is 100% crowdsourced, our readers will be involved in every aspect of this putter’s creation.

In our first round of voting you chose the Zero Offset E-W Mallet as the foundation of your putter.

You Choose the Face

In the time since your votes were counted, the Edel Golf team has been busy creating the three unique face designs that will inspire the next step in our design process. It’s time to flip the putter around and choose the face design and milling pattern for our crowdsourced putter.

Edel has provided us with 3 distinctive options, but as was the case with the putter itself, we can choose but one.

Here are your choices:

Codename: Paycheck

Edel signature face milling with Tellurium Copper insert and Silver sweet spot inlay.

edel-face-engrave-1-1

Code Name: Off the Wagon

Bottle face milling with full Tellurium Copper insert.

edel-face-engrave-2-1

Code Name: Black Widow

Black Widow and web face milling with Edel’s Pixl insert.

edel-face-engrave-3-1

Can I have the pixelated Black Widow insert in the copper style of “Off the Wagon”? Copper feels lovely as I remember it in my Wilson face-balanced something from ’96-7.

Crowd sourced Putter – what an interesting concept!

Personally code name: Black Widow is my favourite looking one, that spider is adorable looking.

This sort of style would fit perfectly with my choice of golf clothing!

I prefer 100% milled but if someone gave it to me, it would prolly still kick my putter out of the bag lol.

Black Widow by far… the copper insert choices look like a band-aid stuck on the face!

The Pixl insert is great. Really expands the sweet spot. I have it on my Torque balance putter.

I currently game an Edel mallet with the Pixl insert. It may very well be the last putter I ever use. Hell, I may even take it with me into the afterlife. I really, really, really wish that the black widow had been available when I acquired my putter.

Glad to see round 2 underway. I dig the paycheck style, the script just looks sweet. the off the wagon with decent, but not a fan of the black widow myself.

Seems to borrow from bargolfinstruction’s idea that the most forgiving putter that would fit the widest range of golfers is a zero offset heel shafted mallet.

I would actually prefer no milling since the hitting area is an insert anyway. It would look cleaner.
