MyGolfSpy Reader Site Review: Win a Hold-N-One!
Posted September 9, 2008 by GolfSpy XReview & Win!
This week we would like to run a ‘reader review’ competition here on MYGOLFSPY. Hold-N-One was kind enough to give us some prizes for the new contest. So instead of running a ‘comment to enter’ competition we thought we’d do something that gave everyone a chance to win a prize by helping another site.
The Prize

(1) Hold-N-One - The Hold-N-One® Golf Bag Holder is a quick-release, wall-mounted holder designed to keep your top heavy bag upright on the floor or existing shelf while you are storing your clubs. The spring loaded Hold-N-One® is designed for use with standard divided cart, stand and carry bags. (pictured right).
The Competition
To put yourself in the running for the Hold-N-One all you have to do is review the site 50DollarGolf.com by this Friday at 9am EST.
The winner will be the person who leaves the most helpful comment in the comments section below (as judged by the sites’s owner).
So don’t just leave a comment ‘great site’ - actually look over the site, talk about what you like, talk about what could be improved, share how you’d suggest they work on different aspects of the site… like design, content, features, layout - the more constructive and helpful your comment, the more chance you have of winning.
My hope with this review is that 50DollarGolf.com will get some good advice, that one reader will get a nice prize and the site will become more useful for all of you. The site could be a very powerful tool…so we hope you can help us help you.
About 50DollarGolf
50DollarGolf.comThe owners of 50DollarGolf developed a service that refines the results to search for only the best deals under $50 with the least amount of time left in the auction. This way you never have to worry about spending too much money or too much of your time. It finds unbelievable golf deals that slip through the cracks of the EBAY system, and nothing you find will ever be over $50.
“It is like searching for a needle in a haystack to find a deal on EBAY nowadays. And that is what we do at 50DollarGolf…we search through that and many other haystacks for you to find the very best golf deals. You don’t have to worry anymore about spending hours of your day staring at your screen to see if anyone outbids you in the last seconds of the auction or pay more then you are willing to spend. We only show auctions that are under $50 and that are ending soon.” owner of 5oDollarGolf
How It Works
Really it is very simple. You simply go to www.50dollargolf.com and choose by either a Category (drivers, putters, irons, etc) or a Keyword and the site will do the rest. It will go out and find the most relevant results all which are under $50 and ending soon. It’s that simple

50dollargolf is a great concept - but I think more filter capabilities would help. When I use ebay, I narrow it down to just what I’m looking for (dexterity, gender, etc). Aside from that, the site is very clean and simple.

Thanks….we are planning on adding the filter feature.

Great site.
Add the following capabilities
1) I agree with Phil on his comment above
2) Search 50 dollar golf listings for free text like stiff shaft or 46 inch driver or R7
3) Add a bargain hunters section for golf related items that are less than $50, have no bidders, have no reserve, and end in the next 24 hours
4) Put an average sale price over the last 2 months for each item listed, so people can see if it is a real bargain or not. This would be somewhat difficult, but really provide value to the consumer.

We are working on adding the no bidders feature…thanks!

I agree with all comments prior,It would be nice to make the site easier to navigate to not have to scroll the screen left to right to see the entire page in view,it is a little annoying. It’s nice when the entire screen can be seen without sliding back and forth. I know this is petty, but you asked for opinions. Also if the site is just starting out, why put links up that cannot be accessed? It seems more effort could be done to what content is available then to what could be at some point. All in all I commend the effort and cause. It is needed in this industry and will go far with the right helmsman. Good Luck!!!
