Several times a year, some of the bigger golf companies will send out special media kits to promote new products. The best ones are extremely cleverly packaged. Such is the case with this recent arrival from Nike Golf, which certainly had me practically begging to know What’s In the Box?
The Media Kit
With fall basically here, and winter right around the corner, Nike wants us all to be aware of a couple of new products designed to help you survive less than idyllic conditions on the golf course. The ideas (as you can plainly is) is for golfers to focus on their games, not the weather.
You’re not one of those guys who packs it in when it starts to drizzle or the temperature drops below 60° are you?

Nike Lunar Bandon 3
Called, mere minutes ago, the ugliest shoe in golf, the completely waterproof Lunar Bandon 3 represents design with a purpose. Originally created for the caddies at Bandon Dunes, this latest version features softspikes instead of molded cleats.
Yeah, it’s not the most beautiful shoe on the planet, but let’s say you were on your way to Bandon Dunes, Whistling Straits, or St. Andrews? Would you trust your everyday golf shoe to keep you dry when the weather turns nasty?
Me, when it comes to awesome golf destinations, I leave nothing to chance.
Retail price for the Lunar Bandon 3 golf shoe is $150.
Aeroloft Poly Filled Jacket
For colder days (you’re not afraid of a little cold are you), Nike has created the Aeroloft Poly Filled Jacket. Apart from the thermal insulation you get from puffy coats, like all Nike golf outwear, the jacket is designed to move with you on the course. It won’t get in the way of your swing.
Also worth a mention, it’s got interior pockets (one with a headphone grommet for your phone/music player), and while I couldn’t say exactly how warm it will keep you, it admirably handled our preliminary test inside the walk-in cooler of a local restaurant.
Retail Price for the Nike Aeroloft Poly Filled Jacket is $190.

I have an original pair of Bandon’s and will wear them til they fall apart. Unless these are a bit more comfortable, cause the originals were more basketball sneakers waterproofed with spikes screwd on
