I like the looks of these…need to try them out and see how they feel. Was not a big fan of their first forgings…but these look better.

even though everyone else seems to like them i don’t. i used to be obsessed with nike about a year ago now im reluctant to buy anything from them. these irons look a little busy. i don’t like the two spikes there. i don’t know, its maybe the picture but i don’t like the color. i see some sort of peach color. if they werent there they’d be a pretty good looking set of irons. who know maybe they’ll look better when i actually see them.
i just don’t seem to like nikes stuff this year or last year. the drivers look really awkward, these irons aren’t doing anything for me, their wedges aren’t new, and their putter looks a little cheap and i hate the dot instead of a line.
hope to see something better next year.

They look like a cheap set Nike came out with a couple years ago. I can remember the model. I think the irons might have been called the SQ’s. I think they replaced the combo set Nike had out. The best set of irons Nike has made

The combos were a nice set you are right about that Garry.

Looks like Nike was trying to copy a set of Mizuno’s.

Maybe the monochromatic look but other then that I don’t see Mizuno having a wild badge like this. But for Nike I don’t mind the look.

They appear to be a “forgiving” G.I. design. Can anyone confirm? Looks like there are only six clubs (other than wedges, woods) pictured which leads me to believe the set goes fro 5 to wedge. Interesting design.

These are a forged midsize CB design. Most likely will not see in the states.

my questions- 1. are these in the game improvement or better player catagorey{it’s hard to tell with all the noise going on the backs}
2.are these prototypes or a finished product.
3.what’s their price point. + whats the stock shaft.
nike might be on to something here but it seems like it always comes down to a lack of attention to detail with them, i mean they have turned out some nice blades but some of that bargain rack crap { sq-sumo/slingshot/4d/etc} i feel is beneath them. initial opinion on these= not bad!

1. Midsize CB Forged design.
2. Finished product.
3. Don’t have any info on price but I am guessing around $1000 most likely will not see in the states.

Curious which blades you like of theirs FSU?

mygolfspy,
a few years ago i meesed around with a set of their T.W. limited blades mainly because they sat in our pro-shop for almost 2 years collecting dust. i thought they were nice, traditional looking sticks and the set up and feel were great. i also like the look of last years victory red T.W. although i never swung the club i thought it looked sharp. [ i looked back in your OCTOBER arcives and saw that funny looking sq machspeed. do you think that will be the U.S. version of this club]

To me it looks like a combo of Mizzy and TM. They look loke the MX-25’s along with the sound dampening plate that TM uses? Would have to see in person and hit before I’d make a valid opinion.

I like the looks but they may be a bit oversized. Reminds me of the Mizuno Comp-EZ Pro’s from about 10 years ago. I played those along with the Pro forged and definitely preferred the smaller sized Pro Tzoids.

I loved those Comp-EZ’s…think I still have a set somewhere.

I tried the Nike Machspeed Forged irons yesterday and I have to say I am pretty impressed by them. Though they are game improvement irons, they set up really nice with a thin enough topline to make you feel you are hitting a player’s set. While its there, the offset is hardly noticeable. Easy to launch and pretty good feel off the face. Distance wise probably a club more. Plus they actually look really nice!

What would stop Nike from bringing these to U.S/Canada?? I think they are missing a huge opportunity if they don’t. The irons have the look of high tech, muscle and style…a touch busy but it seems to be the trend these days.
More pics please!
