I don’t think these things look ugly at all. Nor do I think that you should be worried about “trying new things” at any age. I’m 53 and, frankly, I’ll wear what I like. If you like these shoes, wear them. If you don’t like them, don’t wear them. It’s pretty simple. Don’t worry about what others think.

Regardless of the looks, if these things provide any kind of ankle support, I’m going to be all over them (even though they sound a bit pricey). I strained my left ankle on a swing last year, and it has never healed. I going to be looking at some, possibly along the tensor line, but a ankle stabilizing shoe sounds great! Now I wonder if they can do a thigh length “stripper boot” style to stabilize my bad knee, or a fishermen’s hip-wader style to stabilize my hip. Man, getting older sucks!

      Like the High Tops.
Cannot stand the joggers……any joggers….ever. don’t understand the appeal.
I’m 34…. Just not my thing though I am the demo they are going after.

I’m 35 and I think the looks are acceptable. If the higher cut brings a better stability and ankle stability bring it on. The worst part are the joggers, I would not wear joggers anywhere expect from you know.. jogging or on my way to the gym. If you combine these shoes with classic golf trousers they will look just fine. On the other hand I like wearing shorts in summer but I think that will look just silly…

I really need this…….I don’t want surgery on my left ankle which will incapicatate me for 3 months. Maybe the hightop will provide enough support to allow me to get up and down the course with very little pain and more support.

I’m 41 and i like the direction of golf wear these days. I cringe when i see old footage of the guys wearing XXL mock tee shirts and triple pleated slacks.

Just ugly is all I can say. Ankle issues aside they are one of the ugliest golf shoes ever. And combining them with the jogger pants is even more ridiculous. Puma needs to check on their design department because this is crazy.

I refuse to be that guy that looks down on younger kid’s fashion sense (I’ve seen some pictures of myself during my formative years, and it’s not pretty). That said, the market is king… if these sell, then Puma is making the right moves… if not, they’ll cease to exist. Simple as that. Do I think they’re ugly? Yes. Would I ever wear them? No. But I’m also a bit too old (32) to get away with it even if I DID like them. This is just my opinion. To all the people making fun or looking scornfully upon the youth’s choice of apparel, take a quick look at what guys like Palmer, Nicklaus, Miller, etc. were wearing on the course during the 60’s and 70’s… sky blue, nylon bell-bottoms? Plad polos with MASSIVE collars and low cut front buttons? YUCK.

Rickie is 27; you’re 32, but a bit too old? So somewhere between 27 and 32, Rickie has to stop wearing these? I don’t see it.

They are not my favorite but I’d wear them in the winter. I’m 68. lol

I’m 32 as well, surely not too old for new things.
I don’t consider myself a hippy or a whippersnapper, rather old school in most regards.
Having said that, the golf course is the one place where bright colours and silly patterns still sit well with most people. I dress formally 5 days of the week, which is enough.
I also buy into the rest of Cobra’s mindset of brightly coloured clubs etc; my orange 3 wood and blue driver are the only clubs warrant any comment in a fourball.

Like Mike said there are those of us who have ankle issues and they will be a welcome relief. I have already talked to my GM at my club they are a Puma dealer and as soon as they are taking orders mine are in. Some say they are ugly but I could give two hoots less if they keep my ankles from hurting!

A weird thing just happened. It became shoe more likely to be bought by older players / previously injured players.
No longer just for young upstarts who want to make a statement – you gotta love how things change, despite staying the same.
Hope they work well for you. At any rate, if you wear trousers / slacks, the looks don’t matter at all

For golfers especially with ankle issues, these shoes will help support them and also offer some
aid on lower body stability during the golf swing. Just like hiking, a high top shoe is a lot better than a low top shoe especially if you walk a lot during golf. Evidently they are working for Rickie. Way to go PUMA!!
