SPY PIC: PING GLIDE 2.0 Wedge

PING is debuting its upcoming Glide 2.0 wedge this week at The Shriners Open at TPC Summerlin just outside of Las Vegas.

No technology details have been provided, so we can’t tell you if the new model offers greater hydrophobicity than the original, but it’s clear the styling has been updated to better match the 2016 iBlade.

It’s likely no small coincidence at best that PING’s Director of Product Creation, Marty Jertson is in the Shriners field this week and playing with clubs he helped to create.

More information to come.

Can’t wait to get a set of these. Looks like the iBlade design so going to feel softer. Even Vokey is not forged.

I have a Ping Glide wedge, I love it. If this is better, I will get the series 52, 56 and 60.

Those look nice. I have some Mizuno now, so will have to see how these 2.0’s compare. Thanks Brian!

We had more people come back to trade these in (first gen glide) than any other wedge – let’s hope ping have sorted it out with this iteration.

…at our store it’s vokey’s on the used rack. If a GLIDE does get traded in, it’s purchased used within hours.

Did you honestly expect ping to make a forged wedge? They’re whole company is based on cast clubs. Anser irons were the only forging.
