TESTERS WANTED! – SNELL MY TOUR BALL

TESTERS WANTED! – SNELL MY TOUR BALL

Test Our Choice as “Best Overall!”

Dean Snell knows golf balls like Thomas Edison knew light bulbs. Dean has been designing golf balls for 25 years and owns 38 patents. Perhaps you’ve heard of some of them?

Oh, like the Titleist ProV1? Dean co-designed it.

Or maybe the TaylorMade Penta TP, Tour Preferred/Tour Preferred X or the Project (a)?

Yeah, those. All Dean Snell creations.

The dude has his golf ball street cred.

Snell has been marketing his own brand of golf balls direct to the consumer since the beginning of the year, and took “Best Overall” in MyGolfSpy’s Direct-To-Consumers Buyer’s Guide last March. Here’s what our reviewer had to say:

“Snell’s My Tour Ball is long off the tee, solid with irons and offers outstanding spin off the wedge. It’s also among the best feeling balls we’ve ever encountered. Trajectory is consistent and durability is excellent…It’s as if Dean Snell took the very best of his past work and rolled it all into a single ball.”

Snell My Tour Ball 1

Sound enticing? You bet it does! But that’s our opinion, and ultimately it’s your opinion that really matters. With that in mind, MyGolfSpy wants to give you the chance to try out a dozen of Snell’s My Tour Ball and see for yourself.

We’re looking for a dozen avid golfers to try a dozen My Tour Balls each, and tell us what you think. The My Tour Ball is a 3-piece tour level ball with a cast urethane cover. It’s designed for low driver spin, accuracy and spin control with irons and short game control and feel.

Snell My tour Ball 4

So what do you say? Want to test out the hottest “underground” ball in golf?

HOW TO APPLY:

  1. You MUST be a MyGolfSpy Forum Member to apply. If you aren’t, sign up HERE.
  2. In the Snell My Tour Ball Testing thread (click here), tell us the following:
  • Name and home state
  • Handicap
  • Rounds per year
  • How you typically purchase golf balls (online, pro shops, big box golf retailers, department stores, etc)

We’ll choose 12 of you to put the Snell My Tour Ball to the test.

I just played with the Get Sum balls that I ordered. I think I got twenty or thirty more yards on the drives. I gave a sleeve to a friend and she agreed that the balls fly further. I like the nice soft feel. I just wanted you to know that I am a satisfied customer.

Purchase golf balls: HA! You presume a up and coming student actually has money to spend!
If I am lucky, my business man/father lends me a new sleeve expecting a full write up in a day so that he can sound smart with his business partners. But I only get to keep the balls if he transforms my witty writings into something interesting the engages his partners to manifest some form of business. Essentially, the amount of balls in my bag are proportional to how appealing my reviews of golf equipment and courses are to his partners.
So when I give him a solid write up, those three balls can last up to ten rounds. However, with leaves, the impending moist grounds that come with Northeastern Ohio’s Autumn and my father’s golfing skills, or lack-there-of, gobbling up balls left; keeping those balls in my bag is not exactly a task that comes with ease. So for now I am left with the “option” of making due with the find golf balls walking my local course in my free time… which, with the homework from my five Advanced Placement classes, the need to appease my parents with stereotypical contemporary middle class chores and the seemingly endless need to have a social life, is not exactly the easiest thing either.
So one way or another any and all donations of golf balls would be much appreciated on my behalf. Thank you.

Personally I don;t want to enter… I PLAY THESE BABY’s all the time!! Thanks DEAN for a GREAT ball. Feels like a Pro0V and adds 10-20 yards on every drive. Plus that added accuracy thing too, but…..

Just took delivery on another 4 dozen!

Been playing the snell tour ball since June after hearing the snell story here. It’s an excellent ball and just as consistent as the pro v1xs I was playing previously. What I like most is the feel and sound off of the putter. (And price)

Tried them, had a great experience….eventually moved over to Vice balls because I could get them in yellow and they’re logo is smaller and less obtrusive. I can’t tell the difference between those 2 and a high end tour ball and I can get both in the ~$26 per dozen range when I buy a couple dozen.
