Do You Love Your Fairway Wood?
And more importantly, does your fairway wood love you?
Jack used the same 3-wood for all 18 of his majors. He clearly loved his.
We’re not talking “mini-driver,” and we’re not talking “low-lofted hybrid.”
We’re talking fairway wood (or, for the semantics police, fairway metal).
Do you use yours for those must-hit narrow fairways? Or maybe for those reachable-in-2 par 5’s? A good fairway wood
Cobra’s On A Roll
Rickie wins The Player’s Championship, is no longer overrated and his girlfriend steals the headlines, cover girl Lexi Thompson can probably kick your ass, and Jonas Blixt always does something memorable.
And then there’s Blair O’Neal.
And in the middle of all this, Cobra is making some serious golf clubs these days, including MyGolfSpy’s Most Wanted Driver of 2015.
But today, we’re talking fairway woods.
MyGolfSpy is looking for 6 serious golf gear heads to test and review the new Cobra Fly-Z and Fly-Z+ fairway woods.
The Fly-Z fairway wood features Cobra’s “Speed Channel Face,” eight (eight!) adjustable loft settings and a low/back center of gravity for more forgiveness. The FlyZ+ has a more compact head design with a low/forward center of gravity for a penetrating ball flight and more roll.
How To Apply:
Cobra is providing three Fly-Z fairways and three Fly-Z+ fairways to MyGolfSpy Forum members to run through the ringer to see how they perform. To apply, you need to do the following:
- If you haven’t already, join the MyGolfSpy Forum (click here)
- In the Forum’s Cobra Testing Thread (click here), post the following:

- Your current fairway wood and shaft flex
Remember, to be eligible you must do this in the MyGolfSpy Forum!
We’ll be selecting 6 of you to try out the new Cobra Fly-Z fairway woods to use and to share your thoughts with the MyGolfSpy Forum Community.
To be selected, you must be in the continental US, and you must post your application in the MyGolfSpy Forum.

5 wood- Cobra S3 X flex
I’ve always enjoyed Cobra woods. I’ve had a Cobra driver in the past as well. I hit my 5 wood between 230-250. When the driver is too much the 5 wood is my fairway finder.
