Subject: “Top-Secret Irons Inside”

Recently, we received an email with the Subject: “Top-Secret Irons Inside!” from an anonymous overseas source. So of course when the words “Top-Secret” and “Overseas” are in the same sentence the guys at MGS get a little excited. We opened the file…but had to give our eyes a couple minutes to adjust, it was a little blurry but we thought we were looking at a first. We all looked at each other with that kind of WTF sort of stare. And then almost in harmony said:

“Is that a Yes!Golf Iron?”

We thought it was but we weren’t sure…so we immediately phoned our contact over at Yes! Golf to ask. He answered somewhat confused…I think wondering how in the hell we knew about the yet to released iron and asked if he could call us back in a couple minutes. Couple minutes later he confirmed it was! But… unfortunately they were not going to be coming to the US. Major Bummer for us and I am sure many others…because from the looks of the irons we would have given them a shot. But maybe we can get our hands on a couple sets to giveaway to you guys. What do you think?

BTW They Have A Driver Now Too

During our conversation, our source also informed us that Yes! Golf would be launching a new driver as well. But just like the irons they are going to testing the waters over in Japan before they come to the US.

If you can get your hands on some a giveaway would be cool. Just tried one of the Yes putters at the pro shop this weekend and I’m impressed. Best money I ever spent on golf instruction was the $6 on Ebay for the Harold Swash Putting Guide DVD. Presentation is annoying but the instruction is priceless. Made two of us better putters in a very short time.

Yeah you are right they kind of do. I actually played them for a short time…great irons but actually too long. Damn wedges went 170.

Do you have any pictures of the front of the club heads – do they have some kind of different grooves similar to the C-groove?

There are a couple on Ebay right now. Putting: The Complete Guide. They are normally kinda pricey from his website if you live in the US. Every little segment causes you to watch the same animation over and over again which is annoying. But it covers pretty much every aspect of his putting philosophy . Everything from de-lofting the putter to get a good roll to proper sternum placement for good arc has caused a rapid improvement as I learn the game. Has made my girlfriend dangerous on the green too. He’s a big proponent of true rolling the ball and eliminating any skidding during contact which is the idea behind his putters.
