While the adage is that you drive for the show and you putt for the dough, few can argue that it’s those 125-yard and in shots that can determine just how much dough you’re putting for.
The easiest way to sink more putts is to hit the ball closer to the hole. And Cleveland says its new RTX-3 wedges can help you do just that.
Testers Wanted
The Cleveland RTX-3 wedge series hits the stores next Friday. Cleveland says its new wedges help bring more consistency and better accuracy to your game, primarily by moving the RTX-3’s center of gravity closer to the center of the clubface. In addition, Cleveland says the RTX-3’s new sole grinds will allow you to pick just the right wedge makeup for your swing and for the types of courses you play.
MyGolfSpy is looking for 5 wedge-savvy short game savants to test these new babies out and find out if the RTX-3’s are worthy members of the Cleveland family tree of wedges. If selected, you’ll get to test (and keep) a 3-wedge set fit to your specifications.
How To Apply:
We take our equipment testing very seriously here at MyGolfSpy, so please read – and follow – these instructions carefully:
First – if you haven’t already, you must register for the MyGolfSpy Community Forum (click here to sign up).
Second – follow the instructions listed in the Official Cleveland RTX-3 Testers Application thread in the forum (click here to visit the thread).
That’s all there is to it!
Remember, you can ONLY apply to be a tester in the Official Cleveland RTX-3 Testers Application thread in the MyGolfSpy Community Forum.

The reviews are in our forum. Look them up. Every product gets shipped to members, and members are responsible for working with our forum team to ensure reviews get posted, and most do.
Just for fun, let’s break it out mathematically. Obviously, volume of product and number of entries varies from opportunity to opportunity, but let’s say you register for 3 successive opportunities. Ballpark…12 total forum members will be chosen from roughly 1000 entries (again…sometimes more, sometimes less, but let’s play the averages). Mathematically speaking, in a totally random draw, you’d have a 1.2% chance of being selected for one of those three reviews. A 1.2% chance and you personally haven’t cashed? It’s remarkable.
Of course, our selection process isn’t totally random. It’s not rigged, but is weighted because established contributors are more-likely to actually follow up with the review than totally unknown commodities (relatively new forum members).
Sound shady?
Maybe if we weren’t entirely transparent about it. It’s all right here in a pinned forum post titled Forum Testing – How Club Testers Will Be Chosen (http://forum.mygolfspy.com/topic/9910-forum-testing-how-club-testers-will-be-chosen/).
So seriously, stop boo-hooing because you haven’t been chosen. Realistically, the math isn’t on anybody’s side, and a poor attitude doesn’t exactly score bonus points. – Tony Covey (Editor, MGS)
