Well, what do we have here?
PING is always a relevant part of any putter discussion and PING may, yet again, have something in the works to whet your appetite.
Behold the “EYE Mark” or something like that.
PING isn’t ready to spill the beans just yet, but based on what we know thus far, it’s certainly a mallet and it’s definitely something a PING staffer who goes by the name of “Westy” might be inclined to use. Louis Oosthuizen also put one in play last week at Augusta. The “prototype” stamp suggests this particular putter is in some stage of development and release, but thus far, PING hasn’t returned our messages.
We’ll share any updates as soon as we have them. For my money, this looks a bit like a beefier Piper S.
What do you think? Think it could beat the Ketsch?
[UPDATE]
We have acquired a couple of extra photos and a couple of additional bits of information. Westwood’s putter is custom milled for him, and features PING’s Cadence TR standard weight insert. Colors were customized for Lee, just like PING has done with recent prototype milled Anser putters for Bubba and Hunter.
Hopefully we will see milled PING putters coming back to the retail market soon!

Wow! That’s a hot looking mallet! IMO….PING is still the best all-around company for quality, performance, appearance, and customer service. I’ve worked in the golf industry for many years, and the feedback on PING is second-to-none! Bravo!
