‘You Need A Golf Lesson’
These are often the first words golfers new to the game hear from friends…or if you are a golfer having some swing issues (the shanks). Problem is…finding a good teacher is harder then you would think…there are lots of PGA certified pro’s out there but finding one can be frustrating. Not anymore though…because the PGA has launched a service called PGA ProFinder.
Where Most Go To Fix Their Games (Doesn’t Usually Work)
Living where I do, golf is not exactly the largest of all sports or hobbies, so when something goes seriously wrong in your swing you basically have two choices:
- Stay out on the driving range for hours through snow, rain, hail and storm trying to iron out the massive wrinkles in your game or
- Frantically search all over the state for someone that can help you. Here, that usually involves a combination of word-of-mouth recommendations and a lot of “friends of friends” which promise they can help…but usually sport a 35 handicap.
No More Lessons From The Hacker At The Range
The truth behind the matter…both ideas don’t really work that well. Fortunately, my friends, fellow golfers and esteemed colleagues, there is hope, and the internet has an answer for us! Now, instead of aimlessly trying to figure out your own swing hitches, or relying on the word of that random guy from the putting green, you can actually find a Pro, in YOUR area, insantly. Thanks to the kind folk at the PGA, they’ve introduced a new service called the PGA ProFinder. What it does is, well, put simply…it finds pros. All jokes aside, the service is really quite genius and with a simple input of your zip code it will instantly drudge up any and all PGA Professionals, facilities, and shops in your area that can help get you back on track.
One-Click Away From Going Pro
The great thing about this, is that with one click of one mouse you are instantly given access to those in the know. A directory of golf information right at your fingertips. Click the mouse, find the name, find the number, even find a map that will lead your sorry swing directly to someone that can not only iron it out, but permanently press it straight. Thank goodness, right?
At any rate, head over, input your own zip code, and find the PGA Pro closest to you…the PGA ProFinder will help do just that.

LOL…you would be surprised the % of golfers that actually only get lessons from friends instead of pros. Hopefully this will help some.
