If you are on the Bettinardi mailing list, and you should be if you love putters, then you may have already seen their next installment in their newly created Limited Edition line: The BB1 Tiki.
Back in December, Bettinardi released the BB28 RAW, the first in the LE series. You can see that one HERE.
Seems like Bettinardi knows what the putting public is looking for as the BB28 RAW sold out in 3 minutes! OK, I actually have no idea how quikcly it sold out, but it did sell out, and I believe it was on the first day.
Demand was very high.
I get the feeling that the BB1 Tiki will sell at the same pace, maybe even faster. I love the character of this putter. Bright colors, cool engravings, a custom PURE grip, and a bitchin’ headcover really tell a visual story.

Bettinardi putters are great putters, but IMO NO putter is worth $450 unless it has $450 worth of gold plating. I have had a few Bettinardi’s and while they were nice putters a few years after they came out they were worth about 50% or less of their purchase price. I seriously doubt that any of these current “special edition” models is going to be worth anywhere near the original price in 10 years, thus they cannot be considered an investment item! These putters and most other putters that are selling for stupid prices are for people with big egos and more money that sense. And, to repeat an often stated phrase, “its not the arrow, its the Indian”.
