Live Coverage Starts at 7:00 PM Eastern
Later this evening, members of the MyGolfSpy staff will be on-hand when TaylorMade officially announces its new flagship M1 driver and PSi Irons.
You’ve seen the Expect the Unexpected teaser video. You may have noticed the missing M campaign the company has been running on Social Media (and at the Deutsche Bank Championship) as well.
The bottom line…TaylorMade wants you to know something special is coming, and while you generally should be expecting the unexpected, you should probably expect that TaylorMade’s new driver will fill in the blanks for all those missing Ms.
M1 is A Big Deal for TaylorMade
Hopefully you know the story by now. Despite a very successful year on Tour, the financial news, and all that goes into making it, hasn’t been good for TaylorMade. The last 2+ years have been tempestuous to say the least.
M1 is the single most important TaylorMade release in at least the last decade, maybe ever. Even those who don’t completely agree with that assertion, would agree that the company needs win.
And by a win, I mean a product line to stop the bleeding, and generate the kind of real interest that can turn consumer curiosity into a retail juggernaut.
For that to happen, TaylorMade needs an undeniably compelling product with an undeniably compelling story.
Have they got that with M1?
We’re about to find out.

I just got this driver in my store the other day. To say it is going to be a saving grace…. No it isn’t for them. It is ” just another driver.” it has a sweet look with that composite black on it and the face feels great and fairly easy to hit. You will not have a noticibale increase in accuracy or distance, if you want that find a good shaft that works for you and get some lessons.
