PUMA Brings IGNITE FOAM to a Spikeless Shoe

Here’s your quick look at the Media Kit that PUMA Golf sent out late last week to promote its IGNITE Spikeless shoes along with some of its 2016 apparel. The spikeless model leverages the same IGNITE Foam as the new Titan Tour (also IGNITE).

From a comfort perspective, I’m intrigued by the soft elastic in the heel that makes the Spikeless feel a bit like a water shoe. I’d call it casually freeing.

It’s a good thing, which is why I’m rolling the dice and wearing them for the PGA show. If it doesn’t go well, strong words will be exchanged inside the Cobra PUMA booth. I might throw a bloody sock.

Also included in the kit are are a couple of polos showcasing PUMA’s PWRCOOL (cooling), and a popover to introduce us all to PWRWARM (warming).

Can we get PUMA on Wheel of Fortune? Somebody needs to buy a vowel.

Anyway, for those of us who’ll be headed to the PGA Show PUMA also included a notepad, and a mobile charging pack (not pictured). My phone is total garbage (thanks Samsung) so that on-the-go charging stuff will be a necessity on the same level as 2-a-day trips to the 5 Hour Energy booth.

This isn’t my first rodeo, I’m a survivor.

These would sure look a lot better than the shoes Ricky is wearing this week. I like everything about Ricky…except the hi top shoes he’s been wearing lately.

If they are size 8.5 and don’t feel right during demo day, I’ll gladly take them off your hands. Let’s meet up at the show…lol

My biggest issue with this, or any shoe, is that they must, and I mean must, offer superior support under the arch. I try on way too many shoes that you can twist like a pretzel and offer zero support under the arch. If you want to get fatigued really fast on or off the course, wear a shoe of some sort with no support under the arch. Your feet, back, legs, and other body parts will kill you in no time.

They sell these things they call “insoles” that provide arch support for people who need arch support.

It will be interesting to see if the shoe lasts a day. I have had bloody socks with heels like that. Better wear Kentwools.

      1 like; 1 hate. I’ll break the tie… I wouldn’t wear them.

David, i have to disagree with you. I like the design, the simple profile, and the tread view from the side. I have a pair of spikeless FJs from a few years back and prefer them in appropriate conditions, I love with white with navy and gray accents. I think Puma has a winner, but i don’t need any shoes right now

That might be the best looking golf shoe I have ever seen in my entire life…hold on a second, the doctor just came to my room with my meds…wow that shoe is ugly. That sole trim looks like it was designed by Michelin.
